Kupwara, Apr 25: (GNS) Amid a spike in Covid-related cases, authorities have declared five villages as ‘micro red zones’ in this north Kashmir district on Sunday.
As per news agency Global News Service (GNS), the notified villages include; Goos, Shaloora Teli Mohalla, Dardsun in Kralpora, Bunpora in Trehgam and Umerabad Maidan in Chogal.
The inward and outward movement in the affected villages has been strictly restrained and people asked to stay indoors, an official said adding that all the adjacent villages (to the affected villages) have been declared as buffer zones.
Among a host of other measures, the officers of the line departments have been asked to ensure the availability of basic facilities besides screening of households in these notified zones without any delay, the official added. (GNS)
