Tanveer-ul-Ahad, GNS Founder Is No More

Srinagar: Tanveer-ul-Ahad, the founding editor of a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS), and daily Kashmir Glory, passed away last night.

He was 31 and is survived by his wife and three minor kids.

He was shifted to a hospital in Handwara after he reported vomiting and diarrhea on Saturday. Later, he was taken to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital (SMHS) where he had the last breath.

Tanveer, a resident of Muqam Shahwali in Kupwara district, had started his career working with news gathering agency, PIB, and went on to establish his own news gathering agency GNS and daily Kashmir Glory.

Post the death of the journalist, condolence messages started pouring in from journalists, civil society, and political leaders in the Valley.
