Pulwama: The Government Upper Primary School Shar-i-Shali in Pampore area of Pulwama has just two classrooms for nine classes, severely affecting the teaching-learning process in the school.
Not only the school has two limited classrooms but there is also a shortage of teaching staff.
The teachers as well as students of the school have been demanding fundamental facilities for the school from last many years but to no avail.
“We received many assurances but nothing has been done. I have been working for last three years in this school but nothing has improved in terms of facilities,” says a teacher posted in the school.
Given the fact that more than 60 students are enrolled in the school, there is an urgent need of adequate number of classrooms and teachers so that the education of these children doesn’t become a casualty.
